The natural force that makes things fall to the ground when you drop them is called Gravity. On Earth all bodies have a weight, or downward force of gravity, proportional to their mass, which Earth's mass exerts on them. Gravity is measured by the acceleration that it gives to free falling objects.
Now why am I speaking of Gravity in relation with Yoga per say ? Let’s dive into it.

Each one of us is connected to the rhythms of Mother Earth. She has a gravitational force onto us with a purpose; a purpose of grounding us humbly. Have you ever observed? This purpose of keeping us grounded comes from the causation of a disciplinarian action ; which is either made by the choices we make daily or by the choices we choose to ignore daily, whether it is good or bad for us.

We all have certain goals and desires to fulfil in this lifetime, don’t we? But yet again we are bound by this gravitational force and at the same time seeking to uplift ourselves through means of hard work, creativity and pleasures.

In order to uplift ourselves there are two major rules that can enable you to feel much under your own power or control. The two rules are as follows :
Courage: The strength of your mind to carry on in spite of danger or an adverse situation which determines the courage you have, to move forward in life.
Discipline: The strength of a controlled and a restrained act, in order to follow through with one pointed focus towards your life.

Our day to day activities need BOTH ; courage to take a step and a disciplined mindset to keep activities balanced.

Let’s go back to the basic phenomenon of gravity in co-relation with our daily schedules now. No matter how much of a desire you have in life to become a particular person, the principle of discipline should become a part of your personality. It is important for you to understand that concept of this principle with an example that I’d like to share. The principle of how disciplined birds are. Birds have a set pattern of doing their daily chores in the day to as soon as the sun sets, they head back under the trees for sleep. Shouldn’t we learn the same from them?

Each of us have a disciples mindset but we fail to incorporate in our lives only because we are fail to understand that we have so many hidden powers within us and we seem to by pass the fact that we too can follow a disciplinarian lifestyle in our lives provided we are consciously making choices that could help us follow through.

Let’s observe that you too can build that disciple and courage with a positive mind frame provided you bow down to the gravity of your existence with respect towards all that you have right now at this very moment of time.
